Earlier this week I had an eye exam to determine if I had a detached retina. Fortunately I do not, but I did have an allergic reaction to the drops used to dilate my pupils. The effects, which are supposed to last 4–6 hours, did not diminish for almost two days. I am still experiencing photo sensitivity and some pain when I try to focus close up. Â
The condition is improving each day, but it has forced a digital detox, something I've been wanting to do anyway. You know the saying, "Be careful what you wish for." Interestingly, at the same time as my forced detox, my website and access to it also went kaput. It's back online now, but clearly the Universe was telling me to take a break. Â
As I spend my days in a darkened apartment, I've had a chance to appreciate the gallery of Joe's photographs on my walls with great attention. Since I cannot produce a post for the blog or newsletter this week, I thought I'd share an image I particularly love. Â
The title is Pastel Sailboat on Puget Sound. The photo was taken from Pike's Market in Seattle. It was a glorious day on our trip. We spent the day exploring the market and had a delicious lunch with my cousin who I hadn't seen in over 40 years. Â Art heals. So do fond memories. May this image bring you a smile and happy, peaceful energy too.
