Life Is A Balancing Act
This photo, Stone Forest, was taken circa 1983 in Kunming when Joe went on a photographer's dream excursion to China. The story of that trip and its influence on Joe's life and career could fill a book—and hopefully will—but that is not my purpose today.
Today I am deep, deep, deep into a new, exciting, all-encompassing project that I will be sharing with you shortly. The project is certainly changing my life, and I hope it will have a significant, positive effect on yours as well. For this week, however, I'm sharing this short personal update and exclusive Tarot reading for subscribers to this blog/newsletter.
So truth be told, I selected the cover photo for its illustrative concept rather than its cultural or historical significance. The balancing of the one stone atop the jagged rock formation is truly a pictorial representation of our lives. At least for me personally, this is what I'm experiencing since taking my temporary hiatus from social media and Facebook in particular.
Some people can have multiple things going on at once and still maintain focus. I'm not one of them. I need quiet, uninterrupted blocks of time to process information and to write. Even white noise is distracting to me, so you can probably imagine the disruptive nature the unabated checking of my social media feed had on my productivity!
The hours I've recaptured since my detox began on February 16 have been spent watching documentaries/videos, reading, journaling, taking walks, and staring out my window. This focus turned inward has resulted in a renewed, expanded clarity of purpose and, I believe, a pretty spectacular plan for turning my vision into form.
It's also why rather than having more time to write a post this week, I have less :) I'm still holding to my March 31 deadline for the detox period. This unplanned, but fortuitous coincidence with my regular newsletter deliverance on Fridays gives me the ability to also deliver the announcement of my new project in this newsletter on April 1—and you, readers, will be the first to know!

This spread suggests that having the new perspective of The Hanged Muse and sharing good times with others (4 of Inspiration) will bring the Page of Inspiration with fresh ideas, a renewed excitement or energy for life or specific project, and increased zest and creativity.
Remember that the cards reflect possibilities based on the energy of the moment and the current path you're on. You are always at free will and any change of path/action will yield different results. However, if you like the predicted outcome, you need only to stay on course.
In the case of this collective reading, the "bonus" 3 of Pentacles is your assurance that things will evolve in favor of all concerned—which is what my opening question requested.
