Tarot Tuesday
Welcome New Subscribers! It was a pleasure to meet you at last weekend’s Spiritual Fusions Psychic and Holistic Fair, and I look forward to staying in touch through this community.
One thing I noticed in my readings last weekend (40 in 2 days!) was a card representing conflict, chaos, division, or obstacles showing up in the third (future) position of the Tarot spread a significant number of times. Not only did a “shadow” card show up often, it was always in the future position.
Huh! you may say. I was not surprised, however. Today marks the full moon in Taurus and we experienced a full lunar eclipse early this morning. But the energy of these events is not limited to today. It’s been expanding in recent weeks (since the partial solar eclipse on October 25) and will be around for at least several more days…and probably longer. Energetic cycles of the lunar eclipse tend to extend through the period of next three months after its event.
The moon is considered the planet of emotions, moods, and memories. Full moons can intensify our emotions, often causing buried “stuff” we’ve been ignoring to rise to the surface. The energy of the lunar eclipse only amplifies these feelings. So it makes sense to “see” shadow cards in the future. We’re walking into tumultuous times, both individually and collectively.
Yet both full moons and lunar eclipses offer possibilities for cleansing our emotional waters. And having these events occur together is an opportunity to face, release, and rejuvenate.
So I asked the cards, “How can we survive the conflict and chaos ahead?”
Today’s Spread for the Collective tells us that if we enter times of troubled waters with the proper life-preserving attitudes, we will float instead of being swept away by turbulent waves. In fact, it’s amazingly positive—if we follow the advice given.
Page of Pentacles. This sweet card in the left (past) position indicates that the Page is bringing new, fresh, optimistic energy into the present situation. Pentacles represent money, financial opportunities, and material concerns.
Six of Pentacles. This card represents sharing the riches. Being generous. Having a “giving back” attitude and an openness to working together for the highest good.
Ten of Cups. This is the card of happy family, good relationships, community, heart opening and expansion, and Divine connections.
There will always be periods of darkness. We can choose to stand on the edge, afraid to go forward, and remain stuck in an unpleasant place. Or we can choose to weather the storm, knowing it will pass. Darkness is transitory. Only light is eternal.
Have you ever felt that you were being tested? This truly is such a time. Resist the urge to blame circumstances or be a victim. You are stronger than whatever it is you see ahead on dark days. Be like the Page and keep shining your light, the Six of Pentacles and share your riches, and know that on the other side of temporary challenging situations is your 10 of Cups.
Those with this attitude will receive shelter from the storm. I’ve lit the Love candle and added the stones of the first (root), fourth (heart), and seventh (crown) chakras to support your efforts.
Until next time…my best, Shelley
