The Sun'll Come Out Tomorrow

I let this spread sit out on the altar for a while. I sensed there was a deeper meaning below the one that came to me immediately. But then, this past week has left me pensive and feeling a need to dig deep.
Let’s start with the basic meaning of the cards:
Page of Cups: The Page represents youth. Cups are the suit of water (flow), relationships, family.
5 of Swords: 5 usually indicates a turning point and circumstances that give rise to change. Swords is the sign of air: thoughts, ideas, concerns.
The Sun: This Major Arcana card sheds light, love, growth, introspection, and positive outcomes.
Taken into context of the prevailing energy, here’s my interpretation.
Reading the cards left to right as past, present, and future:
The Page of Cups represents young, unbounded creative energy. Normally I would interpret this as inspiration for new ideas or beginnings. Instead, today this particular card with the young man’s feet ascending to the sky is a sign to me acknowledging the loss of future potential we suffered last week.
5 of Swords clearly represents the broad range of what we’re feeling: grief, anger, frustration, dismay, fear, hopelessness.
The Sun in the future position shows the positive outcome of what can be ahead.
So how do we get from the sorrow-filled past and present influences to the future promise of warmth from The Sun?
Each time we’ve faced these unjust, gut-wrenching tragedies, we’ve witnessed similar outcomes: cries of pain, grief, and horror turning to finger-pointing, accusations, blaming, and displays of fear, anger, and frustration.
We are human. We have feelings and emotions. We have the ability to reason: Why did this happen? How can it be prevented from happening again?
We can legislate change, enact laws, and enforce them. It is my prayer that we finally do…that this event is the one that finally turns the tide.
But we cannot legislate love, which is the only true resolution of all the conflict we face.
Love exists within each of us, not only as a product of our souls but as a gift to be shared. It’s up to each one of us to dig deep to feel, heal, and share the light of love.
As more people awaken to the truth of our souls and life purpose, that light will shine brighter and brighter. And a day will come that so many of us are shining from within that we won’t need laws to protect us because our light will eradicate the darkness. That day is closer than you think.
The Truth is that we already have what we need for real change within each one of us. Only once enough of us enact that change will there be an end to the conflict. The Truth is we are the solution. No need to wait for someone else to fix this.
Remember the old Hebrew National ads? It went something like this. A man stands next to a table with packages of Hebrew National hot dogs. Looking at camera, he says, “The government says we can add artificial fillers, color, and flavors to our hot dogs.” Pause, and he looks upward, “But we answer to a Higher Authority.”
It’s time we all did, don’t you think?
