Ah! I have found that you can't turn on creativity. Like you, I have collect a variety of "interesting" topics to write about. I look at my list and one of those subjects jumps out at me -- or maybe not. Sometimes it's a topic that never even made that list. And sometimes it's just that other priorities pull me away from writing. I like you sharing some oldies -- I've done the same. Although I decided not to commit to a particular schedule! (thank goodness!)
Ha, Jane. I suppose we've all been through the dry periods and emerged. Funny about committing to a schedule. I always did because that was "good publishing policy." If you remember, at one time I published twice a week, on Tues and Fri. I even titled the the two publications with their weekday names. Then I had a part-time job and was enrolled in a two-year certification program that required many hours each week. I couldn't do it all and the pressure to publish on those days was too much. I decided to call my publication (at the time) "Today" and put out something weekly, when I could. It was always "Today," so whenever it arrived was right. Now that I'm once again focused on the publication as the core of my business, I've committed to the one day, Friday. And, as you've noticed, I've rebranded to reflect the essence of my work. Thanks for sticking with me through it all!
I've been there my friend... it's like the new venture, thing, idea has not fully grounded but its started. Have a good weekend. Love the shoji screen.
I feel ya, Shelley! Spent an hour stalking my keyboard before I could write my post this week . . . dropping into my long-form fiction writing has been fine, event felt like an escape, but when I try to write something to share in this now moment, relevant to this now moment . . . I run up against some walls. Like you said, the only constant in change . . . our pens keep moving, this too shall pass.
I think we all go through these dry spells now and then. I know it will pass, but while in the midst, it's torturous! On the bright side, I took many walks to "clear my mind," so my steps for last week were up! But it took until today for the juice to flow again, and it was such a pleasure to go with it. Thanks, Alisa, for your feedback and assurance I'm not alone :)

Thank you, Chitra❣️ You've expressed it well: "...not fully grounded."
